The Hotpoint BIWMHG71483UKN is a built-in front-loading washing machine with a 7kg capacity and a maximum spin speed of 1400rpm. It has a white door and a big digit display with a countdown timer, so you can see how long is left on each cycle. The adjustable feet help you level it in place.

Its Anti-Stain technology is designed to tackle everyday marks such as coffee, ketchup, grass and make-up. It uses higher heat, extra drum movements and longer rinses to do this. The Anti-Stain 40 cycle takes around an hour at 40°C and needs no pre-treatment, while the Anti-Stain Quick cycle deals with everyday stains in 45 minutes.

There are 16 programmes to choose from, including Cotton, Synthetics, Mix, Duvets, Bed & Bath and Wool 40°. The Rapid 30' cycle washes a small load in half an hour when you are short of time. The Wool Care programme has Woolmark Apparel Care - Green approval for gentle cleaning of woollens. The machine has an energy class of D and a spin-drying efficiency class of B.
