Free Electrical Recycling (WEEE)
Buying a new electrical or electronic item from us? We'll recycle the one you're replacing for free.
How It Works
Simply bring your old electrical item into one of our stores within 28 days of purchase, show us the receipt for its replacement, and we'll take care of the rest.
We take all old electricals to a recycling plant where they are processed and separated into individual materials — so they can be turned into new, useful things.
Why Recycle?
Electrical and electronic equipment is the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Recycling and reusing unwanted electricals helps save the planet, boost the economy, and improve lives. The materials from recycled electricals can be used in everything from children's playgrounds to lifesaving equipment.
Electrical and electronic equipment also contains materials and substances which can be dangerous to the environment and harmful to human health if not disposed of correctly.
What Can Be Recycled?
Anything with a plug, battery or cable can be recycled or reused. Look for the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on your electrical items — it's a reminder not to bin them.
Find a Local Recycling Point
You can also find local recycling points at recycleyourelectricals.org.uk.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is regulated by the UK Government. Find out more on GOV.UK.
We're proud to work with the national Recycle Your Electricals campaign.
