This freestanding Hotpoint washing machine is built for homes with plenty of laundry to get through. It has a 12kg capacity and a 1400rpm maximum spin speed. It is a front loader in black, with an A energy rating and a Spin + Drain option. It also has Pre Wash and Stop&Add, so you can pause a cycle to add forgotten items.

Fabric Care technology uses a drum design that spreads detergent evenly and reduces friction. Hotpoint says this makes it twice as gentle on laundry, based on its internal testing of the Cotton 40° programme against the previous model. ColourCare washes at lower temperatures to help keep colours vibrant. Anti Stain uses higher heat, extra drum movements and longer rinses to tackle 24 common stains, from coffee and ketchup to grass and make-up. The PetHairCare option adds a prewash and an extra rinse to help remove pet hair.

For busy days, SteamCare freshens lightly worn clothes in 17 minutes, and Full Load 45' washes a full load in 45 minutes. The HomeWhiz app lets you start cycles, adjust settings and check progress from your phone. With its A-30% rating, it uses 30% less energy than the minimum required for an A-rated machine when using the Eco 40-60 cycle, according to Hotpoint's internal tests. It measures 84.9cm high, 60cm wide and 63cm deep.
