This Hotpoint freestanding heat pump tumble dryer has a 9 kg drum, so you can dry a large load of laundry in a single cycle. It has a D energy rating. Heat pump technology dries at a lower temperature than a conventional heating element, with an average of 40°C instead of 60°C. It uses up to 77% less energy than B-rated condenser tumble dryers.

The DelicateDry programme dries at a lower temperature to help protect fabrics and prevent shrinking. The ColdGuard and PetHairCare features are named in the product title. Reverse tumble action is included, and a drum light comes on automatically when you open the door.

Day-to-day use is made simpler by a full tank indicator, a blocked filter indicator, an end of cycle indicator and a digital countdown display. If you prefer not to empty the water tank, the Direct Drain feature lets you connect the drain hose to a drain pipe in your home. A child safety lock stops the programmes being started or changed by accident.
