This Hotpoint freestanding heat pump tumble dryer has a 9 kg drum, so you can dry a large load in a single cycle. It has a D energy rating and an Inverter Motor, which has a brushless design to reduce friction and noise and is built for quiet, long-lasting performance.

The HomeWhiz smart app lets you start a drying cycle, customise the settings and receive progress updates from your phone. For clothes that need extra care, the DelicateDry programme dries at a lower temperature to help protect fabrics and prevent shrinking. The dryer is also described as PetHairCare and ColdGuard.

Day-to-day use is made easier with a drum light that comes on when the door is opened, a reverse tumble action, and a digital countdown indicator. Full tank, blocked filter and end of cycle indicators keep you informed, and the Direct Drain option lets you connect the drain hose to a household drain pipe so you don't need to empty the water tank. A child safety lock prevents the programmes from being started or changed by accident.
