This freestanding Hotpoint washing machine has a 12kg drum, so it suits larger households and heavy laundry loads. It spins at up to 1400rpm and has an A energy efficiency class. The Manhattan Grey finish and black screen door give it a smart, modern look.

Fabric Care and ColourCare look after your clothes. ColourCare washes at lower temperatures to help colours stay vibrant. SteamCare is a short eco-cycle that freshens clothes which aren't ready for a full wash. PetHairCare helps lift fur from laundry, and Anti-Stain deals with marks such as food, grass and makeup. When time is short, the Full Load 45' programme washes a full load in 45 minutes.

AutoDose measures the detergent for each wash, and one fill is enough for up to 21 loads, based on the maker's calculations. The HomeWhiz app lets you start a cycle, change settings and check progress from your phone. The quiet inverter motor has a 25-year lifetime certification from TÜV Rheinland. A child lock stops settings being changed during a wash, and Stop&Add lets you add forgotten items once a cycle has started.
