This Hotpoint 60cm induction hob has a black glass surface and four cooking zones. Touch controls sit at the front of the hob, so the settings are easy to reach. There are nine power levels, and a timer and indicator light are included. Each zone has a booster for fast heating, which brings a pan of water to the boil quickly.

The hob works with the HomeWhiz app, which sends alerts and updates while you cook. SmoothCook watches the heat to help stop food from burning. If a zone gets too hot or the liquid runs out, the hob responds on that zone and alerts you. HeatAssist lets you choose Minimum, Medium or Maximum heat. It tells you when the pan is ready with a sound and an app notification. PanSense adjusts power to suit your pan. FlexiZone joins two zones into one larger area for bigger pots and pans.

Hob to Hood Connectivity lets the hob adjust the fan speed of a compatible hood as you cook. Power Management lets you set the maximum power draw from four levels, and the Pause function lets you stop cooking and carry on with one touch. Residual heat indicators show when the surface is still hot after the controls are turned off. The hob measures 59cm wide and 52cm deep, and is 4.3cm high.

Once connected, your hob and hood work together automatically, adjusting the fan speed as you cook to help keep your kitchen fresh.

Easy setting of maximum power absortion, choosing between four different levels.
Pause
The Pause function allows you to pause the cooking if you need to - so you can come back, press one button, and pick up where you left off.
Residual Heat Indicators
