This freestanding Indesit washing machine has a 7kg drum capacity and a top spin speed of 1200rpm. It is a front loader with a digital display, and its slim 46.5cm depth makes it easier to fit into a tighter space. It has an A energy rating and an inverter motor, which is designed to improve wash results while keeping noise and vibration down.

Push&Go with Steam helps clothes come out softer with fewer creases, and Indesit says it can cut ironing time by 30% compared with the same cycle without steam. The Cotton + Steam cycle finishes with a steam phase that relaxes the fibres in cotton garments. There are 15 wash cycles, including Express 15 for a small load in 15 minutes and rapid cycles for lightly soiled items. Further programmes cover wool, duvets, rinse and spin, and a 20°C wash.

Water Balance Plus adjusts the amount of water to suit each cycle, so less is wasted. The Delay option lets you set a cycle to finish at a time that suits you, and Keylock stops the settings being changed by accident, which is handy in a house with small children.
